The Retirement Investors' Club (RIC) is an employer-sponsored voluntary retirement savings program for employees of the state of Iowa and participating public entities.
The RIC supplements your pension (IPERS, POR, Judicial) and social security benefits at retirement. Contributions are made pre-tax through automatic salary reductions and your earnings grow tax-deferred. Some employer plans also offer a Roth after-tax salary reduction option.
Horace Mann Retirement Advantage was approved by the state of Iowa as an investment product in the RIC, offering you diversified investment options from which you can build an investment portfolio. You also may have the option to rollover assets from other eligible retirement plans into your account, such as an IRA, 401(k) or 403(b) plan.
